I’m not against porn or sex toys, but I dislike sex ads being pushed down my throat. The sheer volume of both industry and “garbage” ads on this site has been noted as an annoyance, but I’m not cool with sex toy ads and I doubt that I’m the only one.

You are absolutely correct, ads are targeted at a specific audience based on each computers internet cache of cookies (aka: websites you visit OFTEN).
So for me I get all the ads directed at old farts that need AARP. 
Funny, I don’t get any ads on this site except the forum sponsor billboards up top. Could it be your web browser doing it?
I don’t think that is entirely accurate. I can say with 100% certainty that I don’t visit celebrity gossip sites, nor research the latest super fruit diet, or care about a trick to get big that body builders are “mad at” lol. I wonder if this is some sort of default ads that appear?
OP, I’m on my phone and don’t really notice them. However, someone on here suggested an ad blocker type add in and I no longer see any ads on my PC. When I get home I will pm you the info.

I still want to know what is going on with the ads. I see them halfway hidden behind the first post in threads when I am on my computer and most of them time they look jacked up and unreadable. On my phone I can see them, but not seen any sex ads, mostly the body builder and celebrity bullshit, but other than that I forget they are there often times.
None of the adds I get from this site at reflect my browsing history.
Right now they are
#1 worst excerise that ages you (never searched for that)
#1 reason amateur golfers can’t drive 200 + yards (I don’t golf)
Whirlpool bathtubs are loosing out in new homes (never once searched that)
Coach overstock clearance (this is my iPad and I don’t search for coach purses).
I haven’t seen any ads for sex toys, but the ones I do see certainly don’t seem related to my Internet search history.
I only see them on my phone and tablet. Once the new non-firearm related ads started popping up I put ad blocker on my computers so I don’t see any ads on those at all any more.
There is a PG-13 filter set for ALL ads on this forum. So no sex toy ads would be allowed.
