Odd that the 10.3" Colt barrel that I bought from you doesn’t have any markings (other than manufacture date). I wonder why they would mark the 11.5" & not the 10.3".
Hard to say as to why.

My brand new 6720 that I purchased 3 weeks ago. It has “C” and “MP” markings along with "5.56 NATO 1/7 " . I do not know when she was manufactured (or how I would determine that)…but she’s got markings on her barrel

Bag it came in and under hand guard by FSB- both will have date.

I just received (meaning about 20 min ago) a new Colt LE6920 OEM1 that I purchased from G&R Tactical. The bag it was in indicates it was manufactured in April, 2015. The serial number is LE 3291XX. The barrel is stamped C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 in front of the front site base. So apparently there is some inconsistency in the barrel markings. I thought I’d post this here since it seems relevant.
I also noted that the bolt has a C on it, but no MP which I found strange. I thought they were typically stamped C MP as well. This is my first new Colt since the 1994 era ban. My other Colt AR’s are all preban. My AR’s since then are other manufacturers. I believe this carbine now uses standard size pins and whatnot. I still do not understand why Colt machines off the safety stops.
Anyway, I need to take this one out and shoot it. I may end up ordering another.
