Just picked up a CZ VZ 58 sporter, first AK type rifle (though i know its not an AK) and second rifle overall. Will get it to the Range tomorrow if i have time. I’m just excited and thought i’d share since i’m still new here! Does anyone know a good source for mags under 40$ a piece?
(and it’s not an AK
)
wow thanks for the quick reply! good find on those mags, now i’m gonna have to order a bunch of them next week when i get paid
just saw this "All rifles sold by CzechPoint, using 30 round magazines, must use magazines that contain a US made follower and a US made floor plate to comply with Section 922r. " does this mean that i would have to modify those mags?
Totally depends on your rifle, who built it, and what US parts are in it.
Here’s one with US made parts. http://www.czechpoint-usa.com/products/spare-parts-and-accessories/vz-58-parts-and-accessories/30-round-magazine-with-us-made-parts-refinished-complete-grey-or-black/ They work fine in mine.
It is important that the magazine IN your rifle is 922r compliant.
Those other 100% surplus mags on the shelf are for the original VZ58 you intend to own one day.
