New Rainier Arms Rifle (new comp and new rail designs)

Sorry if this is a dupe but I just noticed this new Rainier Arms Rifle sporting their new Keymod rail and Compensator.

Does anyone have any more info on the rail such as weight? The compensator also looks interesting.

Seems like an interesting offering. I’m wondering how the Mission First Tactical furniture stacks up durability wise. I’m inclined to believe it’s good stuff if Ranier has partnered up with them. I like the looks of the comp. Is the downward sloping front end supposed to add some sort of benefit besides aesthetics?

It may be an attempt at a degree of compensation in the vein of the slant muzzle device on the AK.

I do believe the downward sloping helps keep the muzzle flat by gasses pushing down on it. I believe some AK’s have been using a compensator with the same downward slope for decades.

What do you mean by “attempt”? Are you saying that Rainier didn’t test this to see if it actually works?

Ahh, right, the AK slant brakes, I knew there was something familiar about the design…

I’m sure they did, and I bet it does help at least some. What I meant by “attempt” is that the end user may not notice a difference, either way. Until its proven to work its only an “attempt” in my opinion, it may not be in yours however.

Here’s what intrigues me about the design. It has the side ports along with the slant. Judging by the design, it looks like it will do a good job at not only compensating but also reducing recoil. It also looks like a loud SOB and could possibly be a fire breather.

My thoughts also, but that’s not different from any other double ported brakes though.

Yeah your neighbors will love it haha
