I’ll take the win but I surmise that NJ will take the same route NY did with Bruen and just give the middle finger to the USSC and go harder anti-2a.

They will all be lumped together in the SCOTUS decision expected in 2027 about AW bans. I would assume arguments begin this Fall?

Good, now we have a circuit split. Hopefully SCOTUS pulls this up and consolidates.

My bet is even if we win, the Bluedouches do a Hochul-on-Bruen and double down because “you can’t MAKE us.” This does not stop until somebody gets personally graybarred. Probably not even then.

Yeah. I’m not sure it ends even then.The gun ban advocates and much of the left will just see it as more evidence that SCOTUS is “illegitimate”. I don’t think they will truly respect any court decisions that don’t come from a majority liberal court, preferably an all liberal court.

Now to be fair our side does it too. Albeit to a lesser degree, at least I think so, but I admit my bias. We often see decisions we don’t agree with and say it was “wrongly decided”.

The courts can’t fix the rifts that exist. Nor can politicians, they only feed on it. Society at large has to do that for itself and I think that day is going to be a long time coming. If ever.

Politicans, like Dogs who piss on the floor; sometimes need a firm smack on the nose with a rolled up Newspaper.

I’m not sure why when told “NO” with as firm a voice as the one SCOTUS uses, Politicians don’t heed the Warning. It’s time to break out the rolled up Newspaper in the form of a Federal Charge with a substantial years long sentence and smack the New Jersey Governor snot box with it.

I just watched Colion Noirs take on this and now I have a more healthy respect for this ruling.

They have not all the way ignored Bruen. Tons of people I know got carry permits in NY and NJ. I got an NJ non resident.

They increased the fees a ton, but even most of their “sensitive place” bullshit got thrown out, at least in NJ.

Having said that, there is nothing to force them to comply and only Republicans obey court rulings that go against them.

Genuinely curious, who would enforce it? U.S. Marshals? They are kind of a “catch-all” Fed LE organization. Then again who issues the warrants? SCOTUS themselves?

Not being a contrarian, because I’ve thought about this too. It’s a never-previously-addressed venture into some murky waters….years ago we would have never had a reason to contemplate someone (even our side) completely ignoring a SCOTUS ruling. Nope, “back in the day” everyone begrudgingly went along with it. It is not like that now. I will submit that a state ignoring some future anti-2A ruling from SCOTUS would be quite fine with me. [shrug]

Considering bogus arrests are really kidnapping and people have obviously been killed as a result of the deprivation of rights, the statute indicates the penalty can be, and should be, much more severe(and permanent) than prison.

So the Modern version of the Americna Bar Association supports DEI, Men in Womens Sports and half a dozen other leftist ideals.

The legal system has been rotten for a long time or(for an easy example) anti 2A laws would have been dead in the water over a century ago.

Eliminate their exemptions and make everything down to parking violations a felony for those swearing an oath that indicates they are somehow a servant of the law.

The system is functioning just as intended. It’s anarcho-tyranny. The system releases violent criminals onto the street then convicts a woman for saying a hurtey word.

The Constitution is dead along with the republic. This is just theater at this point, intended to keep us pacified. Bread and Circuses, nothing more.
