Congrats. I am planning to order mine next week.
Really happy with mine, especially when I got the stock replaced.

That looks the ones I saw at the dealer. No “restricted” wording on the other side?
Nice!
Mine was a kit gun, but it had the old vinyl coated aluminum buttstock, which I really like.

None. Kinda weird to not see them anymore.
These are some excellent looking Colt’s. I have wanted to get one for awhile now but have not had the extra scratch for it yet. Been buying up bullets, powder and other stuff to keep my habit going. In the very near future though, I will have one. Until then, congrats on your purchase.
I was finally able to pick mine up today. The stamp to exactly six months to get approved.

Congrats man!
Congrats man! Picked mine up Thursday. I think the Rogers stock is gonna have to go.

Paired it up with my other stamp that came at the same time.

Guess which moron forgot the 6933 was a pencil barrel when it came to low-pro gas block purchasing time…
Discovered within 30 seconds of telling my wife how smooth the rail installation was going.
I share my idiocy to spare others some suffering.
Shave that shizzz…
Problem solved. Problem staying solved.
My taper pins were actually freakishly loose. I think the low-pro is more secure. No kidding, I just barely tapped them and they shot right out. I could have just pushed them with the punch. The last 3 sets I’ve knocked out gave me ulcers and IBS. Whacking and whacking all the live-long day until they finally loosen up.
These were a joke. I don’t know how they didn’t just fall out from handling.
Oh LORD! To buy a factory complete 6933 and start that shaving nonsense? That’s a crime.
Yeah… the one 6933 I punched pins on was a ball buster too.
Is the shaving thing not a good idea? I thought it was ok other than tearing up a good FSB.
Also, the previous rifles I fooled with were an M&P15 and two Colts. This is my first 6933. I’m thinking maybe the taper pins aren’t controlled as well as the rest of the parts. Maybe I got the small end of allowable on both.
Shaving is tearing up a perfectly good FSB. If I wanted a low pro, I wouldn’t buy a 6933 and then rape the poor thing. I’d get a BCM and build it in the config I wanted. But that’s just me… I hate the idea of cutting on a gorgeous Colt factory gun.
“Gorgeous” Colt factory gun???
Rape???
Seriously?
Shaving is a perfectly acceptable and mechanically sound method.
As far as “tearing up?”
I don’t know… there’s plenty more of them out there, it’s not like some rare, exotic, war relic.
I would have no problem shaving the gun I posted if that’s the way I wanted to go, and mine’s a Diemaco kit… which I suppose does make it a tiny bit “special” to some.
