I have a 686-6 with what I believe is excessive end-play in the cylinder. It locks up and works fine empty, but under recoil the cylinder moves back and jams the rounds against the frame. I can’t see that there is any adjustment in the ejector rod, so I think the play is between the cylinder and the yoke.
Does anyone know a very good, trust-worthy revolver smith in Northern VA? I don’t want to ship it to S&W if I can avoid it.
