So im stuck between point blank armor and second chance armor. Im going to purchase 2 sets. One is soft armor for everday use, the second is a military plate carrier for when the shit hits the fan. I hear great things about both brands, i jus need some opinions
I used Second Chance for Police duty every single day, and been using it for several years now, the only thing that I had to change was the outside cover to wash it and for a new one eventually…
No complain no recalls so far.
is yours for LE? or overseas contractor? Mil or just to have?
Diamondback Tactical
Velocity Systems,
PACA,
OMEGA Nitro
just a few options out there.
Jus to have, its for personal use, not work related
I used The Gray Group for my body armor purchase. Went with Velocity Systems concealment cut soft armor in a Mayflower Low Profile Assault carrier. With this setup you can add plates and still have the soft armor.
Same with the point blank and the second chance. They offer the plate carrier with soft armor. I think im so set on it because my military friends speak highly of both. They say u cant go wrong with either. What gets me is a friend was hit with an rpg and his armor held up. Hes ok, no major damage. No limbs lost
Ive come to the decision that im ordering the second chance soft armor with plate carrier and point blank military hard armor with webbing to put over
Not trying to jack your tread but what plate. carriers do you guys like or use…i need something cheaper" I’m on a buget
Punch “plate carrier” into one of the Search features.
If you use the grey Search, limit the search to thread titles only and to this subforum.
Everyday use? As in casually grocery shopping in one?
That thing would have to be confortable as fuck!
No problem. Its all good
Forget comfort, thats the last thing im concerned about
You’ve spiked my curiosity, why everyday wear? If you don’t mind me asking.
Cause i live in a pretty bad spot of the shit state i call home. NJ… Smdh. I cant wait to move out of this state
If the area is that terrible don’t forget to include protection from knives as well.
Although if I lived/worked in an area that I really though I had to wear body armor 24/7 and I wasn’t LEO/MIL my #1-10 priorities would be moving. There are very few jobs worth getting shot for.
Yup, thank you, ive considered everything. Im going with the prism multi threat system. I just tried one on at a dealer and its actually pretty comfortable. Im gonna buy plates for it too
