I am looking for a fiber optic front and a rugged rear sight without dots … who is using what and are you happy with it? thanks
I have used a Warren fiber optic front sight painted fluorescent orange for a couple of years and been very happy with its durability and visibility (old eyes).
The Warren FO front with their rear is a nice combo. I have shot this before, enough so to convince me to get Warrens for night sights.
This might help. Have you tried the search engine yet or using Google and adding your search before typing in m4carbine.net?

Sounds like you want the sights from an M&P Pro model. Flat backed Novak profile rear sight with a fiber front. I don’t see a part number in their online store for the parts specific to the Pro model though.
Hopefully someone at S&W can hook you up with the sights specific to this pistol if you call and ask for them.
I have the Sevigny/Warren set up and the AmeriGlo version on Glocks.
Both are nice well made pieces.
So far, I’m liking the 10-8 rear with hi-viz green front.
The 10-8 required substantial fitting. The hiviz went right in. It’s worth noting, though, that I used an MGW sight tool for both. The front probably would have been impossible without it.
I had Ameriglo’s on my 2 M&P’s and they were the shizzle. I used the stock white dot on one and their orange Luminova dot (which is like an FO that you can’t break, but just as bright) on another, both with their plain non-serrated black rear.
Really nice picture, looks kind of like the Warren/Sevigny’s ratios really, just not quite as tall off of the slide, the Ameriglo rear is a deeper and wider .160" rear notch than the stock one.
I’m also thinking about new sights. What do you guys think about the Novak Trijicons?
I think 10-8 is coming out with there line of front sights next month
I decided to go with the Truglo TFO tritium/fiber optic front and having a tritium bar installed in my stock rear sight. Tooltech gunsights can install tritium tubes in many different types of sights if you need something like that. I have a similar setup on my 1911 with a bomar rear and hi-viz front, but I wanted to have low light capability for my M&P. The 1911 is for range and competition use. My target transition speed was significantly improved with the fiber front and plain rear sights.
Can you get the TFO front by itself?
I was under the impression you couldn’t
I don’t see the TFOs discussed much here but I have used them and liked them, I think a TFO front and black rear would be a good setup
I can’t find anywhere to get the front sight by itself. I wanted the full set so I can still use the pistol while my rear sight is out getting the bar installed. Tooltech told me it would be a 2-3 week turn around.
I have used trijicons, warrens, and 10-8 on my M&Ps and without a doubt the Warrens are my favorite. They require virtually zero fitting (especially if you have the MGW tool), and have by far my favorite sight picture.
My experience is that the ‘drop in fit’ of Warrens is hit or miss.
I found the earlier ones usually needed a little bit of filing, but the newer ones are drop in. YMMV and all of that. Still though WAY easier than the 10-8.
I use the Ameriglo/Bowie Tactical sights on my M&Ps and they work great.
My local gun shop has a set of Warrens on display and they are extremely nice sights. I want to upgrade my factory MP sights, but I still want to check out the 10-8’s first before I buy the Warren’s.
