i need some advice on some spare parts i plan on buying.
first off does anyone have experience with the one peice spiral gas ring. it seems logical versus the 3 peice set.
second, i need help finding a flash hider. my barrel is 16 inches and m4 profile. it has splines cut on the end of the barrelinstaead of the pinned type. who makes a slip on flash suppresor or is there such a thing.
third is the fail zero bcg that much better than say a bcm bcg.
thanks in advance for the help. jason
Have you bothered looking around? One piece gas rings aka McFarlands have been discussed here often as has the topic of spare parts.
I personally like the McFarland rings and use them exclusively. The spare parts I would have on hand would at a minimum be;
- Bolt Assembly.
- Extractor Assy.
- Extra gas rings
- Extractor pin
- Hammer and Trigger springs
- Buffer Detent and Spring.
If you are one of those that likes to take your stuff apart all of the time then you would be better off buying a complete LPK. I tend to think of the parts that are frequently disassembled or lost.
It’s not very often that someone will lose a front or rear take down pin, or the associated springs and detents unless they are dicking with it. Best way to learn is from trial and error.
yeah i tried looking around but reading through everything that contained gas ring is nonsense. i did try a few times. im starting to realize you get what you search for so instead of gas ring, maybe mcfarland. thanks for the info and stay safe if your still over there. i appreciate your service to our country
