NC supressor usage for hunting

Could not find the info here, but thought some of you all would like to know this. Well it looks like it is time to obtain one.

It might be a moot point if the proposed changes to Trust ownership go thru.

What does that have to do with being able to hunt? Either way it is still legal to hunt with a suppressor now.

Welcome to the club. It’s better.

Double tap.

Nothing if you already have the suppressor.

They will be still legal for you to buy even if they change the way you have to go about doing it. I guessing that you may be referring to if a certain CLEO will not sign the form?

Yes I was. Sorry I wasn’t more clear. Except for the last year I’ve lived in NC all my life. I may be wrong but my impression was that there were more NC CLEO’s that wouldn’t sign than would. For many NC folks the proposed trust changes could almost be a defacto ban on future Class III toys… hunting approval or no.

I really loved living in NC and sometimes I still miss it but I gotta say living in a free state is pretty neat. CLEOs here in TN are required by TN law to sign the papers within 15 days.

Have no idea about that part. I know Cumberland county is a no go and that Harnett/Lee is good.

The whole trust thing is going to be interesting. I just got my stamp a few months ago with mine. I wonder how many hours it is going to take to track down every person with a trust to make sure that they comply with whatever they put in place.
