My 1st build and I'm here to be educated :)

This is pretty much the exact same thing everyone says, and all of us thought when we were starting out too. Take it from someone who has been there, what it really means is that you don’t really know what you want to do, you just want an AR. That’s ok, it’s where the VAST majority of us started out. You’re stuck in the same catch-22 all of us were of trying to figure out what we want to do with a tool we have no experience with.

Take a look at my signature line. I offer that advice as someone who went down the path you’re headed down and now realizes that I frankly did it wrong. Had I taken that advice when I was starting out I’d now be a better shooter, with more cash in my pocket.

Don’t focus on “ejection patterns”. Focus on whether or not you AR is reliable and functions with the ammo that you use.

Thank you!

If you are looking at where your brass is landing you are looking at the wrong thing! I have actually been in classes where I’ve seen some chump watching where his brass is going and producing groups on the target that resemble shotgun patterns. All thanks to a bunch of people on the internut discussing minutiae that doesn’t matter.

I personally don’t get why where the brass ejects could matter one bit. Is there something I am missing? Unless its ejecting all over the place and not cycling, who cares. The only reason I would think ejecting all over the place would be an issue would be an indication of a part that is worn out of spec and floating a little. Correct me if I am wrong…

I have the larue absolute co-witness mount for the T-1 on my rifle.
I wish I had gotten the high mount instead.
