Upper is a Colt Alcoa with a SOCOM barrel and KAC Triple Tap. On the rail, there is a gangster grip I made using a cheap 30mm scope ring and spacer threaded for the standard grip screw. I’m using a Surefire 6p for the light, KAC mini 2-600m rear, standard Colt charging handle and Colt BCG. Optic is a Eotech 551 on a Larue LT101 5/8 riser. The lower is a 2017 “M4A1 Carbine” marked Colt lower with stock trigger, CQD mount, H2 buffer, Colt N1 stock, and butt pad. Very smooth shooter with the Triple tap and runs like a sewing machine. One of my favorite setups so far. Got a KAC qd mount for the stock and a Redi mag on the way for it. I’ll probably skip the peq 2 since I’ll just put one of my peq 15s or dbal on there if I need it.
Very nicely done. I had a similar set up for a while (SOCOM barrel with MRE rail), but decided to ditch the MRE handguard due to how nose heavy my carbine felt. I do like the looks of it, but too heavy for me.

I keep coming back to this thread. I decided to build one with the exception of a few items which are hard to find.
So far I have ( Most was in my inventory):
KAC MRE rail,
Colt SOCOM M4 barrel,
Colt SOCOM III upper receiver,
USM4 lower but might go with an older Colt lower
KAC micro rear flip up sight
LMT buffer tube
Colt N1 stock
Larue 5/8 riser
Eotech 556 A65 (not correct but close enough)
Colt equivalent BCG
PRI C/H
You can forget about the KAC triple tap, they were $450 years ago, now they are discontinued, im trying to decide a suitable replacement. Gangster grip is going to be an issue, I don’t want a clone or build my own, if I could get a legit KAC gangster grip with 6P I would in a blink of an eye but these are getting harder to find.PEQ-2 I already have on a 100% correct MK18 MOD 0, so I may opt to not have a designator. Cant decide.

Took this out from 300-700 yards today. I only missed twice on human sized silhouettes after adjusting for wind. I shot it full auto before and after. The Colt Socom barrel has me impressed. I never cleaned it for the whole year it was in jail and many conjugal visits. This is my favorite build.
