So I have my upper on order and want to get things in order for when it arrives and I get everything set up. Here’s what I want to do: Im looking at the Leupold 1-4x scope for use a 3gun optic/Varmint hunting scope (the longest shot Im boung to encounter wont be much over 250 yds and I think a 4x will be enough- i have pretty good eyesight, haha).
Im also going to get a set of irons for the rifle, prolly the MBUS from Magpul.
I’m thinking about a scope mount with QD levers to take the scope off when I want to run irons only or if i get a red dot of some kind. Good idea?
What are some good options for doing so? How reliably will it hold zero? I don’t want to have to go to the range every time I do a swap.
A final option is a couple offset mounts for the irons at 1:30 on the rail…
The top mounts these days are LaRue, ADM, and BoBro. I only have experience with LaRue and ADM. They are top notch equipment. Robb (GotM4) uses BoBro mounts and he has stated before they were as good as if not better than LaRue or ADM. You will be well taken care of with any of the brand I suggested.

I would LIKE to have QD throw levers and repeatable zero for now. when i eventually get a couple different uppers built and/or whole new rifles, it’ll be a non issue.
