At the risk of putting too many MOACKS options out there, here’s the MOACKS Plain. All it does is stake the carrier key screws, in four places, in one setup. No scrapers, no clamps, no bells or whistles. As it is closed over the top, it can be smaller and lighter than the original MOACKS. You might say a downside of this is that you can’t as easily do a visual lineup to locate the tool on the carrier. But the upside of this downside is that the Plain is made with two holes in the top-- just stick your 1/8 or 9/64 Allen wrench through the appropriate hole (depending on if your carrier key screws are the mil-spec 1/8 size or standard 9/64, and personally I don’t believe there’s a damned bit o’ difference), and locate the tool to one or the other of the cap screw sockets… now start stakin’. 1/8, 9/64, and 5/32 Allen wrenches are included. Screws and wrenches are from trusted American names in fasteners, tool body is made from pre-hard 4130 steel.

Thanks Ned for a great tool. Just got my pocket model and put a perfect stake job on my new YM carrier. Good directions and fast service. Mailed a check and got my tool within about a week.

DANG it, I had a great idea for an April Fools joke. Was gonna post something like, each MOACKS comes with a three-year authorization to use it. Since the MOACKS has been out for three years now, some of you will need to renew your authorization by attending a refresher course. A new certificate will be issued authorizing you to use the MOACKS for another three years. The course can be competed over the internet for your convenience, in three, one-hour classes. Cost is $300.
