Milwaukee police released body camera video Wednesday from the night two officers shot a man inside a Milwaukee apartment building after 911 callers reported an active shooter in the building.

The incident happened June 16 at an apartment complex near 64th Street and Sheridan Avenue.
According to police, 911 callers reported a man wearing a black ski mask was firing a gun inside the building.
In the body camera video police released Wednesday, gunshots can be heard as officers make their way into the apartment building. During the search for the shooter, a lead officer, walking up the stairs, nearly came face to face with an armed man coming down the stairs.
