SOLDThe LEO is their new model and only made for the Rem. 870. Top of the line, all aircraft aluminum construction, Hogue grip. It is much nicer (in my opinion) than the Knox kit that is all plastic and cost $130.
Brand new, in the box with all the hardware and instructions, $140 for complete kit, MSRP is $190

While most of the major components of the Knoxx stock are composite, it is not all “plastic”. The major parts that are metal are components of the recoil reducer, which the Mesa Tactical does not have. I would much rather spend $130 for the Knoxx with recoil reducer (which Remington endorces BTW), than $140 for the Mesa.
I’m not saying the Mesa product is not good, I’ve read plenty of good reviews for it. But, from my experience with the Knoxx, I would gladly buy another one when/if I buy another 870.
Boomer,
I have owned and shot both and like I said “in my opinion” the Mesa is hands down the better stock. The Knox opens and closes like crap and the recoil reduction is done by springs. If you really want a nice set up you install the Enidine hydraulic reducer on the Mesa Tactical LEO adapter and you can use any of the many AR stocks (Vltor, LMT, etc.) and grips (Tango Down Battlegrip, Hogue, etc.) and you have a much sturdier set up with better recoil reduction than the springs on the Knox. It is more money for that set up though, but well worth it.
Someone else must of thought it was better also, since it sold within an 1/2 hour of being listed ![]()
Hey, I never said the Mesa was bad either.
I was actually looking into buying one until the Knoxx came out. You’re not kidding about the Knoxx opening/closing like crap either!!
Also, I wasn’t trying to trash your sale. I normally click on “New Posts” and I didn’t realize that this was in the Sales Forum. Sorry if it appeared that way.
