Maxpedition addiction

I just realized I have a serious Maxpedition addiction.

I started with their basic fatboy versipack. Actually wore one out, and got another. Then I realized something with just a tad more room would fit me needs, so I got a jumbo versipack.

Been doing a fair amount of travel, so got a Monsoon pack. But, realized something between the Monsoon and the Jumbo was needed, so I got a Sitka.

Then there’s all the Accessories, like the universal holster, mag pouches, small bags to attach via MOLLE…

Their stuff can be a tad pricy, but it’s so damn well made and designed, and I can’t seem to help myself.

Yup, I use every bag I own from them. Some more often than others to be sure, but none just sit there and not get used.

Now I’m considering their rolling carry on bag. :help:

Other then the fact they tend to name everything as “tactical” like the the tactical bathroom kit, etc, really like their stuff.

Am I the only one with this problem?

I used to use bags more but have a couple nice daybags from other companies and a few maxpedtion products have one paded bag going to sell  but yeah they make stuff that seems to do well for me

debating about picking up one of their sling packs and trying out with some photo gear in it

I lost my little extension bag somewhere in my house :frowning:

I’ve been using their ROLLYPOLY folding dump pouches for years. I’m a big fan.

I have several Maxpedition bags and cases, with good service from them.

I would really like to see the Last Resort attache with an outer cover for the external pouches (zip-down drop panel, like on the other side).

You are not alone, my addiction is to 5.11 bags though. Ive got a rush72, two 24’s, a 12 and a moab6:help: My wife thinks Im crazy and even my friends who appreciate good gear raise an eyebrow at my collection. All of my bags have a purpose and are packed to the max. If I had to get rid of even one it would totally f**k my head up:p

Yes well, the GF has commented I have more bags than she does.

I have heard all the comments from friends etc: man bag, man purse, fag bag, etc, etc.

Love those damn bags!

I have one of their discreet rifle cases and honestly the only reason I purchased it was the fact that the particular vendor had them on sale at 60% off retail.

I used one of their Keypers on my duty belt and it went tango uniform within six months of use. The particular part that failed on that piece was the HK style (lobster claw) adaptor, a part I’m sure they outsource.

Will, need another fix?

Seriously though, I know what you mean. I like a lot of their stuff. I bought a Thermite and a Fatboy S-Type years ago on TAD Gear (back when they sold a lot of cool stuff.) I hit pay dirt when I discovered a police equipment store close by actually carried Maxpedition till they went Tango-U. There’s a couple of their items that I’ve wanted to get and think “Oh, I could use that for this…”

This past summer I used a now discontinued Falcon Gearslinger (IIRC) for my day pack on our family trip to Story Land in New Hampshire. It worked great! Sadly though, it’s the most use it’s seen since I bought it. :frowning:

I’ve also use their MPB as a range bag and for a long while I was using their Last Resort bag for my every day work/school bag. Right now though, I downsized to a laptop bag made by Eagle that I bought at a military surplus gear sale at a LGS.

I like my fatboy but the wife is still holding out for a Dooney & Bourke tactical line.

My girlfriend bought me a small backpack of theirs a few years ago. I basically just keep a small med kit, and some AR mags in it in my car.

I like it. Good quality, but I don’t beat it up really.
