Magtech/CBC 5.56 62 grain vs PMC 62 grain.

I’ve been shopping around for some of this ammo since i’ve heard nothing but good about it, and was wondering if anyone can find it cheaper than $196 per 500 delivered and $380 per 1,000 delivered. Or should I go for the PMC? This is for plinking and SHTF.

Either is decent. For me, I’d get PMC because CBC (magtec) brass had a much lower internal case volume… and that matters to me as a reloader.

I figured the Magtech would be the clear winner. So far it isn’t looking that way.

For plinking, I’d say whatever is cheaper. But Mark has a good point about the reloading part.

If you have all CBC brass and work a load on it, you’d be alright. It’d seriously limit what powders you could run though. Forget Varget, Benchmark, etc.

I’ve had a few pieces of CBC get into the mix, and when you powder charge the case, the powder is all the way up into the neck. I doubt you’d blow a gun up, but you’d have a seriously compressed powder charge in some cases.

I don’t reload so I will try to get what ever is cheapest.

I went with the Magtech 62 grain, 1,000 rounds for $380 delivered.

From where?

Grant is 380 + 30 delivered. Not sure where buckkiller35 got his from but I am also interested.

Great price, where from?
