Magpul Sights ..Mount. backwards?? HELP??

I have a flat top front gas block and my (front)magpul sight will only close when mounted backwards? Can I do this?

Friend says the pull on back to front sight is opposite this way. makes sense…
can I just mount the back sight backwards as-well?

Or should I just mount them both the right way and not have a folding front sight, just a folding front sight that won’t fold because it hits my magpul grip?

Thanks…

An MBUS should not be installed on a gas block due to the fact that it is plastic and does not do well with heat.

Thanks… after doing some research… ooops… um never mind. I’m not going to be doing any rapid fire any ways. and will eventually get a red dot. just need something for now… this will do. thanks.

Unless the gas block rail is on the same plane as your receiver rail/handguard rail it probably won’t zero…need a taller mounting option. It was made to mount on free float handguard rails.

yeah no… It’s a lot lower(gas block rail) than the upper rail… I’ll keep the magpul sights for my second build… but for now I’ll either get a holo-sight or use a scope I got lying around… thanks.
