One of the number one causes of a malfunction in the AR platform is related to the magazine. Standard USGI springs are SS. These types of springs lose their power over time which in turn can cause feeding problems as they lack the power to push rounds to the top. The other problem with USGI mags are the followers. Black or Green followers allow rounds to nose dive into the mag body and are generally the cause of most issues in USGI magazines.
To address these issues, we have combined the two very best components for a magazine. The ISMI 30rd Chrome Silicon, heat treated, shot peened spring and the Magpul Generation II anti-tilt follower.
