Just out of curiosity, my boss is always bitchin about my 870 not being lubed enough. I think I put on a good amount of lube. When I look at his gun its dripping wet. And he always says you can never get enough lube. Guy kind of erks me to put it lightly. What are the downsides of to much lube???
it gets all over your shit, creeps down into areas where it shouldnt be, and collects lint/debris. pump shotguns dont need any more loob than a drop on moving parts. they’re not ARs- they’re not even autos. pump shottys will work with any amount or no loob, for the most part… so just give it a little in important places.

I put Lubriplate all over the inside of mine and on the moving parts. It’s slicker than a minnow’s pecker. This is only an experiment I’m doing though.

i use either weapons shield grease or twb25 on the inards, not alot just a little. it’s a pump gun it dosen’t need to be dripping wet.
I just squirt a little of whatever lube I have handy on the bolt and slide rods, and inside the receiver where the bolt rides. It doesn’t take a lot.
I clean all my guns with Gunzilla. Cleans faster better than any cleaner made and leaves a dry film lubricant. Although it says it is not needed I give a tiny little squirt and leave it wet on any areas I think need extra lube.
