MSN Groups as a whole has expired.
Just in the last couple of days.
.pdf of the procedure is here.
I saved it when I learned that MSN Groups was closing down as I thought it was pretty good.

Hello everybody,I’m new here. A manga website has drawn my attention recently,I discovered that it renews very quickly, moreover very speededtherefore recommends to you guys.http://www.SunManga.com/By the way,is anybody crazying about Love Hina (manga)? Contact me~
really well written, though we do use this system in the Marine Corps off depending on who you are with. the only time we use the rear sight drum is on the KD course of fire after that it’s holds. Also the Marines now use the RCO as the optic and the iron sights are going to the butt pack and the optic is being used.
Also for the M4 the cross over isn’t 50 yards it’s closer to 55 yards and it works really well for 0-200 yards which is good because given the muzzel velosity at that distance you are not getting and real good effect on target with the fragmention of the rounds really pass 75 yards with the M4 and 220 with the M-16A4/A2. The 77 grain bullets that are used with the M4 fly just alittle diffrent as well and preform better at lower velosities.
mods this is spam
Rather simple question I know but I have never tried to use the Battlesight Zero.
Is the hold on the target supposed to be a center hold within the circle?
Or a Six O’Clock hold at the bottom of the sillhouete?
So the bullet strike is approx 2" high at the 25 meter distance?
dead center at 50m & theoretically also at 200m
at 25m…you’ll be shooting low at about 1-1/4 inches, really depends on your bore to sight/scope distance
I believe you can use whatever hold you want as long as you know what your POI/POA are. I’ve been messing around with lollipop hold at 25yards and adjusting for a POI around 1.25"-ish low from point of aim. When my astigmatism is bothering me or eyestrain messes me up, I am finding lollipop hold to be much easier for me to get more precise groups.
Greg, a big thanks for posting a copy of this PDF of the really ingenious Improved Battlesight Zero!
This great info!
I have been using this for some time and it works great. Many in the SF community are using this quite a bit now as well.
1 correction to this statement, point of impact at 50 YARDS = POI at 200 meters per the document.
Most civilian ranges are distanced in yards which makes this convenient.
The link is now dead. Anyone save it? I need to copy it. ![]()
I uploaded it to my server:
This was great. Interesting how there is a cross over at the 50m and 200m mark.
FYI:
not 50M, 50 YARDS… “A 200 meter zero has the happy coincidence of an initial trajectory cross-over at 50 yards”
Ok. So sighting into 45.72 meters will also theoretically sight you into 200 meters?
Trying to make sure I get this straight.

a nice visualized discussion
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for all morning. Thank you! It even addresses the POI change with the unmarked vs 0-2 apertures.
What is all this business? None of the links work. . .
