Looking for a bi pod

I would like to get a bi pod for an LMT that I am putting a 3.5-10x40 scope on. I was looking at the Harris with the Larue mount, the Vltor two piece one or Tango Down. What are your thoughts on these.

For the most rock solid, adaptable, stable, and precision oriented bipod solution at the slight expense of rapid deployment:

For a marginal loss in the above, but with faster / easier deployment of the bipod:

Here’s a few threads that popped up during a search:

The Atlas Bipod is a solid bi-pod, the best on the market.
Harris is a close second with LARUE QD mount.

I have the Harris adjustable bi-pod. Not sure what the mount is but is not quick detach. Would recommend a adjustable bi-pod. They are great for working either from a bench or prone. Wish I had a quick detach bi-pod, I think that would be a good addition.

I use Atlas bipods where stability is paramount (i.e. virtually every bolt gun that I own and most of my .308 ARs). I still have Harris + Larue mounts on most of my precision 5.56 and 6.8 ARs. I tell myself that I do this for faster deployment speed with lighter ARs, but deep down I plan to buy more Atlas bipods as funds allow

That’s the one I’m saving some pennies for, some nice gear right there.

I got a Bobro in for T&E. What’s the consensus on these? I can certainly admire the engineering in the part.

I’d like to hear feedback on these too. Never played with one.

Another advantage of the Atlas other than rock solid, it swivels. The Larue will tilt so you can level your rifle / crosshairs /bubble. The ATlas also gives you a little windage swivel.

Thanks for the replies, I didn’t try the search duh. What material is the tango down model made of? It looks like plastic. I am leaning towards that one if it is aluminum , but now I am interested in the Bobro too.
I have have had a Harris in my hand and I don’t care for the feel of it or the looks of the springs sticking out.

Well, the Harris is a very good bipod in the BR-M version with notched legs, springs or “the way it feels” aside. If I didn’t have the money for an Atlas, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a Harris. I have used them both and they both work.
