Well not a custom build because I used a complete upper, but close enough…
RRA 20" Predator Pursuit upper with bead blasted barrel and chrome bolt. RRA lower built from scratch with PSA parts and Geissele SSA-E trigger. Weaver grand slam tactical 3-10x40 mil/mil scope in PEPR mount.
First time shooting with it sighting in at 100 yards, ran perfect. Used Hornady 75 gr. match ammo.
I like it. I’ve never used a “high end” scope before, mostly <$250 Nikons or Leupolds. But the optics are awesome. I not sure if I made the right choice by going with mil dot/mil adjustments though- there’s a learning curve involved and all my other scopes are in MOA. Granted MILs are supposed to be easier to use, but it’s like thinking in both Enlish and Metric.
I had a 22" Stag with an Elcan 1.5-6x and could easily ring steel at 300 with 55 grain FMJ. With 75 grain match grade and your optics you should be able to reach out past that with ease and a little practice. Very nice looking rifle, from past experience that thing probably isn’t the lightest stick in the world. Nice build though, should be alot of fun.
