We need a dedicated NV sub forum but until that happens (if it happens), I give you the following index so we can find all those interwoven NV threads. I’m sure there are plenty of threads I’ve missed so if there is one you would like to see listed go ahead post a link to it and I’ll update this OP, as new threads are created I’ll also add them to this OP. Perhaps the mods will be kind enough to “sticky” it so it will be easy to find and if we ever do get a dedicated NV sub forum it can be used to help find the appropriate threads to move over. It will be work in progress so feel free to offer any suggestions regarding the content or format. Please let me know if you run across any broken links or anything else lame. TYIA

Guys FWIW, we (JRH) have offered to sponsor a dedicated NV forum here, staff said no plans for a dedicated NV sub forum at this time. So we even tried to help the idea with more advertising dollars :slight_smile:

We will be there if/when it happens.

NV, thermal, etc are going to continue to grow.

The outline for such a forum is there. Make “lights, lasers, and knives” the nightlarper section, visible lasers go to optics, and knives can go with tactical gear. Lights pretty much belong with other vampire stuff anyway.

Then again, I’m kind of like a guest here telling my hosts to rearrange their living room.

Now, as a non tech guy it all seems real simple. I’m probably missing about 11,000 reasons why it would be a huge lift PITA to pull off.

Staff is losing traffic to Sniper’s Hide and TOS bigly over the i2 sections. I barely even come here anymore now that I’ve gotten into i2, because I’m busy looking around there for the last half year or so.

It’s not hard. I’ve seen other forums add a sub-section quite easily. Gun forums, car forums (every time a new model or sub model comes out, they have the forum up rapidly), etc.

I’d buy from TNVC for the warranty. I’m biased since I’m one of their dealers though. I’ve found from helping guys out that you have to be really in the know about what you’re buying if you’re going to go off the res and search for stuff that is “less expensive”. I’ve seen a bunch of dudes get proper f**ked that way. Here’s hoping my L3 UWP DTNVSs will be here before the end of the month. Lol

Point though a sticky in this sub might be best; lots of knowledge to pass down and save people big money and mistakes.

Just to be clear, the purpose of this thread was not rag on M4Carbine about a dedicated NV forum but rather to provide links to all the interwoven threads scattered about the forum as suggested by MM in the thread you linked.

I have changed the title of this thread to more accurately reflect that.
