Les Baer Premier II 5 inch , rear sight?

I have a friend that owns a LB 1911 and he is 69 yrs old and cant see his rear target sight . Front is a Fiber optic. What are his options and what cut does that gun have to host the rear sight?

I was thinking a more tactical notch to give him more light on each side of the F.O. front? But do tell if you have L.B. knowledge

I think that comes with an adjustable rear sight. I have no first hand experience, but I believe it is still a Novak cut.

Novak cut from the look of it - I am usually partial to the Novak style for pure aesthetics, but realistically the singe low dow, large U shaped rear (ala 10-8) Heinie type illumination might actually serve best, and those exist in that configuration. I can’t remember how wide those U shaped notches get, but it was enough that my freakishly good eyes didn’t like it.

Then again I’m a potato and keep converting the used Baer TRSs i drunkely acquire from GunBroker into bizarre MARSOC ICQB/Hilton Yam profile clones, so consider that.

I looked on their site and suggested that to me friend and he said that rear 10-8 with illumination could not go on that gun. I wonder if they have different cuts for their target sights vs tactical sights. It would seem odd but one never knows. Im looking into that further.
