I came across a Nikon branded LensPen on Amazon and it piqued my interest. It had good reviews and I did some googling and found its made by another company and branded for Nikon. It has good reviews whether its Nikon branded or not.
With the good reviews and the Nikon seal of approval I took a shot.
It works GREAT! Field cleaning of any optic is very easy. Brush away any loose debris and then use the non liquid cleaning end to get rid of fingerprints or other smudges. I’ve used it on binoculars, scopes, red dots, and camera lenses.
Trijicon slaps their branding on 'em too. Mine’s a Triji, my mother’s is a Nikon, only differences were the package card, tampo’ed logos and the Trijicon sticker that came in mine.
I use them, but never alone. I always lightly brush the lense. Then use genuine Q-tips with liquid lense cleaner until dry. The finish with the pen. I’m a bit concerned about using the pen after only brushing. Trying to avoid scratching the delicate coatings. But if it’s working for you…cool.
