Legit CASV-M rail? And other questions

Recently purchased this CASV-M rail and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it’s a legit VLTOR or a knock off. The seller is a good guy and I have no reason not to trust him plus he bought it second hand as well so that isn’t why I am asking. There is a slot cut into the rear of the top rail and it looks like a quality cut but no other CASV-M I’ve come across has it. It’s not centered so I don’t know what it could be for. Everything I’ve seen tells me it’s legit but I don’t know too much about the fakes.

Here are a couple pics of the inside:

And the slot:

Everything locks up tight and it feels like a legit CASV.

Also anyone know how to remove the threaded inserts? The two on the top rail were removed for some reason so I was thinking of snagging two from the bottom of the bottom rail as I won’t be using all of those and pressing or silver soldering them in the top for the CAS-FS.

Sends up all sorts of red flags IMO. Now they could be revisions, but I have never seen that slot, nor the ability to remove the threaded nuts.

If it is a fake its a good one. I have sent pics to VLTOR and am waiting for a response. Also the threaded inserts are pressed in so I assume they can be pressed out. My legit casv-el looked exactly the same as far as the inserts.

According to a person at VLTOR, it is a legit handguard. Someone must have tried modifying if for some reason. Im gonna go ahead and try moving two of the inserts to see if I can fix the top.
