Got a handful of these in the other day. Colt has changed how the LE6920 is configured and what comes with it quite a bit.
They have stopped shipping the guns with the removeable carry handle and now use the Magpul MBUS 2.
They have stopped including the cleaning kit and sling. Instead of the two 20rd USGI mags, you now get one (black) M3 PMAG.

LOL, I can understand your sentiment assuming that you like the carry handle (biggest change). For me, the carry handle is worthless and would always have to be removed for a different BUIS so that I could mount an optic to it.
So I think a lot of people will like this option (along with the 30rd PMAG).

Yes. They have been doing this for awhile on the Magpul MOE models.

I’m not an MBUS fan but it is more useful than a carry handle and I pretty much hate 20 round mags for anything other than an AR with a bipod or sighting in off a bench…

Would be neat if colt put out a chopped carry handle like LMT’s, but I bet they are trying to stay cheap with the mbus.
That set up looks more practical than the LE6920 I purchased back in 1995. Most people buy their own cleaning kit and sling and store the ones Colt was offering with their rifles in the past, so I don’t disagree with not including them with the current rifle.
Which annoys me heavily as that is the attachment point I use on my KISS rifles.
Understand. I would always remove them as I would put a rail and a light at the 9 position.

I like it, but I’m glad I got my LE6920 with the two 20-round USGI mags, the carry handle, and the other butt stock.
I just noticed that. That’s a real bummer. One nice thing about a 6920 is that you could take it out of the box, throw a sling on it and go do whatever…
And they put that *** **** ******* parade sling mount on the bottom of the FSB. I hate those things with a passion…

Before this latest panic…I thought about picking up a second 6920 but with the crazy prices and lack of ammo…I decided to wait it out.

The one I picked up actually has it at the 9:00/Left side of the FSB and that’s all and good I guess but, doesn’t help me since I’m a lefty.
