I took a blue force sling and made sort of a modern rendition of the original combloc style slings. The snap hook is one of DIY tactical’s “small” wire snaphooks and allows the sling to operate in an original manner (unlike the HK hooks and mash hooks which I never had too much luck with).
Goes off and on pretty easy. Taking it completely off the AK is a bit more intensive.

I turned the snap-hook the other way though, as I always thought that was the right way to do it.
You got it right Rob, don’t go changing it. I also put the snap hook the other direction.
Those KTR’s are basically stamped receiver Galils.

The KTR-03 is just about the nicest shooting AK I’ve ever had. Slick, low recoil and very little muzzle flip.
I’ll have to try the sling on the other way.
