I always view Kimber more of a marketing company than a gun company. I knew smiths that refused to even work on Kimber back in the day due to their poor quality and QC issues. I hope they have improved, that was a long time ago. People always said the very early Kimbers were GTG, then they were not. Now that are? Great. Me, I’d never own one. Saw way too many of them failing to function or just break at a match or a course, etc. Ben Stoeger has generally positive things to say about their 2011 offerings and their come back to popularity. I was not aware of any of that, but I’m way out of the loop these days:
Q is which Kimbers and what is retail? There does seem to be a glut of guns for sale these days driving prices down. That’s my impression anyway from looking online and a few shops I have been to in my area of FL. There’s a big slump in sales recently, that much I know. I assume due to the economy in general and the fact we don’t have a highly anti 2A admin in the WH. No one sold more guns than Obummer.
No doubt, and they never have far as I know. Even stuff that normally does hold value, such as Wilson, is going for less than usual as there’s a glut of them on the used market.
