Does KAC make a longer version of this URX that will work on a 5.56? I need a little extra room to mount a clip on.

Yeah, you just need to swap it out for a rifle-length URX/URX2/URX3.1.
Ayan at boltcarrier.com did mine, he does great work on KAC products.
