KAC 2 peice rails

Guys,

I got a 20" upper with a KAC two peice rail system. It has the tensions screw and requires the use of the D ring and the Handguard cup…

I can not get the upper 1/2 to seat into the D-Ring.

Does anyone have any experience with these? I feel goofy contacting KAC since I bought it used from another site.

Completely remove the screw so the hook hangs down as far as possible. Put the handguard in front first into the retaining plate behind the FSP and then drop it down so the hook clears the barrel nut. It will not clear it without the screw completely removed.
