Just playing with a new idea here... Glock 17L + G17C Slide?

I’m thinking of doing it, to reduce weight, will it be just as reliable with my G17L barrel (cut, and threaded for suppressors) as my standard slide is under extreme conditions?

Combination:

Glock 17 RTF2
Glock 17L cut and threaded Barrel
G17C Slide

I’ve done similar. I milled out the top of a G17 slide to mimic the opening in a G34/35 slide. I run it primarily with a suppressor, and it does just fine.

I’ll be running a suppressor on it too.

Extreme conditions being, mud, sand, dirt, dust, water, salt water, etc.

How would it hold up?

you’ve got more space to let crap in… so that would hurt your reliability somewhat… but i don’t see why it would be otherwise less reliable. slide mass should be approximately equal to a regular G17 right?

So that would hurt reliability, under harsh conditions?
