I’ve managed to end up with TWO of these guys, and this one was a gift from a friend.
It was purchased just 9 days ago, and is brand spanking new. I opened the plastic to look at the tube, and this is all. It has NOT been installed, and this is plainly obvious.
This tube also comes with TWO rails, and two sling studs. Both rails are about 2" long. The first 2" tactical rail is to be used for any accessory you wish, such as a flashlight, VFG, etc.
The SECOND 2" rail, is the special Front Sight rail, to be used at 12 o’clock on the VTAC tube, for your front sight (BUIS most often). This special rail is a bit more of a low profile rail, which is necessary for a front mounted BUIS, thus putting it at the exact height of your flat top receiver I believe. This entire package costed $205 shipped (this price also included the 10% discount given on the rails that JPRifles was kind enough to give us).

Just to be clear, JPRifles sells a TWO piece tube (carbine length, plus the FSB pocket extender, which is basically a TWO PIECE tube), and they also sell the ONE PIECE tube which is what I have. You may use your stock FSB with EITHER of these tubes, if you have a mill, or pay a machine shop a very small fee to mill out the pocket for you.
I actually think the ONE PIECE tube like I have above, is best, as it is stronger, and you can either use a low profile gas block, OR your stock FSB, if you have the pocket milled out.
