Holy dog s&%t! I had to watch that twice to figure out who was doing the shooting. I was expecting the #3 guy to shoot the guy in front of him. I wonder how many other botched operations they’ve run since the ballet theater and the school hostage incidents. If this is their normal SOP, it’s a wonder more people aren’t killed. Russians, got to love em.

At first I though it was an AD…but then he kept firing. Nobody seemed to care, it was clearly accepted practice.
Iv got to believe that he is shooting blanks to disorient the suspect by making him think that hes being shot at. If not…:eek:

I did not see any debris from the ceiling as the shooter walked down the hall.

I’m embarrassed at how scared we used to be of the Soviets … they were (and the Russians still are) just a bunch of drunks and incompetents. They have a few good people, but only a few.
I’ve long been fascinated by the fact that they have produced some of the world’s greatest music and literature … they are second to none in dance and other arts … but they are oafish, clumsy, and brutal when it comes to applying force. Makes no sense.
how short was the straw he pulled…to get the gun with blanks? maybe that’s why they stuck him in the middle of the stack.

I did ask someone I know who is in that area, and he said the Russians will often fire blanks to disorient. I guess their version of a flashbang. He mentioned they often dont have the money for flashangs and such…I can’t confirm or deny that’s what was taking place in the vid, but that was the word. Does not seem a very effective method to me, but I am no expert on dynamic entry methods. Just glad I am not the guy in the stack shooting blanks!
