Is MK262 Mod1 accurate? Hell yes!

Is Black Hills MK262 Mod1 “seconds” accurate? I say, “Hell yes!!!”

Here is the best of all my 10-shot groups. The three flyers were mine, not the ammo (I’m still a precision shooter novice). Rifle was an Ameetec-built AR with a Sabre Defence 18" S/S fluted barrel. Scope is a Nightforce 3.5-15x50 in a Larue SPR mount. Distance was 100 yards.

The other two groups were a semi-rapid fire with MK262’s and IMI M855’s.

For those into handloads… I think I have found my “MK262 clone” powder. AA2520
Here is my AA2520 group with 23.5g of AA2520 (Still needs more tests…)

Nice rifle, nice shooting!

Rivanna?

Do you know what velocity you are getting with your 2520 load?

Thanks… As an interesting side note, I didn’t fully realize, until I looked through high magnification, how little nuances can DRAMATICALLY effect POI (heartbeat, breathing, hearing protector brushing against buttstock, etc…) This shooter still has much to learn and practice…

Yes, Rivanna. I was there Sunday… a beautiful Virginia day! I wish I had more time to get over to the 300-yard range… but time flies so fast when you are shooting and concentrating.

that is very nice. Wish i could build a tack driver. Have fun.

Wondering what barrel type is that.

The Mk262 is certainly match ammo. In a precision bolt gun, it’s phenomenal.
