iPhone 5s

They go on sale tomorrow and I’m getting one.

I’ve been with an Android device (HTC Incredible 2) for over 2 years and will be making the switch to the Apple ios.

The key new features:

  1. Fingerprint ID
  2. Improved camera
  3. Improved battery life
  4. Faster processor

Pro Review of the iPhone 5s from Engadget:

Why am I changing from Android:

  1. In house tech support (Read: wife and kids are Apple)
  2. Lightweight
  3. The size of the phone fits my hands well
  4. I’m already using iTunes for my music, sync will be easier
  5. Failure of HTC/Google to give any operating updates for this phone
  6. I’d simply like to try something new

While there are obviously many strong competitors and certainly advantages to other phones for niche user needs, both Apple ios and Android, it seems to me the iPhone is the still the Gold standard of reference. Often like we see on this forum…“is it as good as a Colt?”

I will be at ground zero as an Apple newbie and look forward to the new learning curve.
