If Colt Offered a Mid-Lenght Gas Sys., Would You Still Buy The 16" Carbine Gas Sys.?

Hello:

If Colt offered a 16" Barrel Carbine with a Mid-Lenght Gas System, would you still buy the 16" Barreled Colt’s with the Carbine Gas System?

Thanks for your replies.

I wouldn’t.

Me neither.

If Colt made a middy - I’d sell most of the guns I have now to buy a bunch of them…

I still love the 14.5 inch length barrel.

I don’t know!

I think it would be QUITE popular.

I probably wouldn’t either.

Now, if Noveske offers their N4 in a 16" middy, THAT would pique my interest.

If Colt made a middy I’d be a happy camper.

A 16" midlength gas system v. a 16" carbine system?

I’ll take the mid everytime.

I would definately buy a Colt Middie. As it is, I don’t like 16" carbine guns anyway.

I don’t understand why someone would choose a 16" carbine length gas system if a midlength were an option.

Middie everytime for me.

Non standard hand guards and gas t00b! Not a huge issue, but i agree.

If you’re talking 16" vs 16", you might as well get the mid length.

Sure, I would buy a Colt Mid length. I would take the middy every time.

Are the manufacturers hearing this? It’s a shame that mid-length offerings are still comparatively limited.

The White Tree of Valinor shines the light of truth.

I do not understand why more manufactureres are not offering mid-length options except for the NIH syndrome.

Even with Colt not making mid-length barrels I won’t buy any 16" barrels without a mid-length gas system anymore.

The only time I would ever buy a barrel with a carbine gas system is for 11.5" SBR.

CMMG offers them.

Colt > CMMG

Colt (or Noveske) chrome lined 1/7 twist mid-length flat-top uppers would replace all my carbine length uppers (ie. 6920 type) if they were ever available.

Okay!
