hey gents,
im running a BCM 16" barrel with a middy- gas system (using a Geissele low-pro gas block). i have a SF SOCOM muzzle break and want to attache a SF can on it but i was wondering if anyone could shine some light if there maybe some issues off the bat? i know 556 guns can be, at times, finakey so i figured there are a lot of smarter guys out there then me so. in sumarry:
- running a can on a 16" middy barrel, is if feasable?
- any issues right off the bat (e.g. cycling, feeding, etc…)
- any specific ammo that can help?
A 16 inch middy is more forgiving than any 10.5 inch set-up and a 10.5 can be set up to run reliably

If a 10.5 can be set up to run, so can a 16 inch middy
You shouldn’t have any issues. I’m running the surefire 212 and have no trouble with any of my mid-length carbines. If anything, you’ll experience some extra gas to your face, but surefire’s tend to not be to extreme in that department.
I ran a suppressor on my older Noveske 16" Recon upper. No issues at all.
