I’m about to go to the range later today to sight in a few rifles for the first time, among those are my new DDV5. Has LMT front and rear, giving the range is 100yards and I have 100 yard range here at the house. I figure it be perfect to use the 100 yard zero after reading the (Zen of 100 yard zero). My question is do I need to use 6 clicks + 1 (1 being buffer zone) or use 3 click + 1? While reading the RIBZ they are using a A2 8/3 elevation knob and not 6/3.
If using 6 + 1 clicks
6/3 -6 would be 100yd
-4 would be 200 yards
6/3 would be 300 yards correct?
If so then this would mean I could have a different “zero”? Using -6 I’m using 100 yard zero which popular for civilians/etc. Bump it up to -4 and I have the 50/200 yard zero?
