Help me decide

ok I have a delima, I got the money to build a upper but with the same money I could get a complete rifle (Noveske N4 Light Basic or Basic Recce). The upper I have been planning on consists of:

14.5" Noveske SS Barrel
Rainier Arms Ultra Match Billet Upper
PRI Gen III Handguard
AAC Blackout for M4 2000 pinned
PRI or Troy flip up front sight
KAC Micro Flip up 200-600m BUIS

This would go on a Bravo Company Complete lower that I already purchased from Grant.

So what should I do build the Upper or buy the Noveske and keep the lower for a future build?

Build an upper or purchase a complete tier 1 rifle? Ummmmm… :wink:

So I take it you would get the Noveske? I am trying to get a sensse of opinions on either. By all arguements the upper will be tier 1 components Noveske barrel, quality receiver, BCG, etc. My indecision lies in the differences between the two, if I get the Noveske it would be my version of a KISS carbine, with moe furnature and a T-1. Aaahhhh the decision is killing me.

Noveske would be my choice, but then again which is more important? Is having a project more important or a quality commercial built rifle?

Realistically it’s not going to be a project “for me” I’m still in Asscrackistan so I’ll probibly have my wife send the pits to get assembled for me as I am much too impatient to wait once I get home.

If it were me I’d get this upper and put it on your BCM lower for a great rig.

What about the stainless uppers? I really never thought of just a Noveske Upper but that may be an option, most of the ones I like are around the price range I am in.

The stainless series will probably give you a little more accuracy for a little less barrel life if you’re going to use a magnified optic on it. I doubt you’d realize any gain with an RDS for the extra price. The Noveske light series barrels are known to be very accurate for chrome lined.

Since you’re wanting to have an M4-2000 pinned on it, you’d definitely benefit from the switchblock when suppressed. In that case getting the Noveske upper is better than a custom build because right now the complete uppers come with a pinned switchblock, but the component switchblock for builds is a clamp on.

Thanks for the help, for better or worse I pulled the trigger on a build. I purchased the Noveske barrel, AAC Flash suppressor, PRI tube, and MEGA upper. I have a Daniel Defense Auto BCG and charging handle, I just need a pair of BUIS.

That was my vote, I have an almost clone of that upper coming from MSTN.

I’m going to have my wife get the upper assembled before I get home, I hav not decided on an optic for it yet, I’d like a 1-4 variable but I’m still not sure yet, I may just go with a T-1 or M3 with a magnifier.
