Help deciding to reload .223 or 5.56 on new AR

Folks I am new to this forum and to centerfire rifles. I am considering buying a new Daniel Defense M4 v5.
I will be setting up to reload for a new caliber (I already hand load for my handguns). What is better to set up for this AR - .223 or 5.56? I will probably use new lake city brass (so I don’t have to get into crimped primers). So I need to know which brass to buy. Thanks in advance for the help, and it is a great forum!

There is an Ammo & Reloading subforum. Read around there for awhile as most questions you have will be answered.

Yes, check out the reloading forum. From the reading I have done the rounds are basically the same as far as reloading. Guys reload .223 & 5.56 with the same heads, primers, powder loads, and dies. So buy the brass that is available or cheaper. I collect mixed 223 and 556 brass from the range. The range master sweeps all unwanted brass to me.
