I recently bought an item from John. Upon arrival it proved to be as advertised, well-packed, and promptly shipped … so I’m glad that I bought it. I will not hesitate to buy from him again.
But there’s more to the story. In my ‘I’ll buy it’ IM to John, I mentioned that Botach had the same item for a little less, but not in the pattern I wanted. What I did not mention was that (never having dealt with Botach before) if Botach had had it in that pattern I would have ordered it from them to save a few bucks.
I just learned about the feedback forum, so I thought it would be appropriate to leave some good feedback for John. In the process of searching for his feedback thread I ran across the Botach feedback thread, and out of curiosity read the comments. Ye gods! Obviously ordering the item from Botach would have been a major mistake. So I’m doubly glad I bought it from John.
Color me dumb but lucky.
Lesson learned: check the feedback forum first. Most of the bad feedback seems to be about non-M4carbinenetizens.

He sold me a dead night sight, without mentioning that it was dead. The regular factory Glock sight ($5) I sent him in partial trade was supposedly damaged by the post office. He demaned that I send him his sight back and called me a “thief”, a “liar”, “overtly dishonest”, and a whole list of other things (yes, because the post office damaged the envelope). That was my fault too though, because according to him I purposely sabotaged the envelope, knowing the postal machines would destroy the sight inside. Wow. Do business with this guy with caution. He’s not an outright liar but he is the very definition of unreasonable, and should definitely have known better than to sell a dead night sight without mentioning that it was dead.
I offered to return your sights and your money if you were to return mine. You refused. Why would I want “dead” sights" back? Why would you want to keep them? You are a liar and a cheat, but the offer stands.
Your dishonesty speaks for itself and you only have yourself to blame. That you were banned for your conduct and your inappropriate and dishonest posts were deleted by the moderators should indicate to everyone that the only person who stole anything is you.
That you have to change your nick to circumvent the m4carbine system is only further proof of your bad faith.
