If anybody posts an old ad from Shotgun News from before 1986, selling M16s for some absurd price like $550, I am going to cry. Please think of the children.

I often have fantasies of discovering a time machine and going back in time with 500 grand which I use to purchase firearms and muscle cars and a great big warehouse to store them all away safely from the elements.
On a nice spring day in Virginia most dudes on the college campus I just came back from are looking around at all the exposed female flesh…meanwhile I was thinking about how awesome it would be to be cruising around in a 1971 Hemi-Cuda convertible.

This is bad…those milled Valmet M62/S’s are bringing 10 times what they were in this ad.
I picked up mine in 1982 for just $479. That was a LOT of money back then, too – and my buddy still kicks himself for selling his Valmet…
just think… 20 years from now, when a pre-XX AR15 receiver is going for $75,000, you’ll be able to kick yourself all over again!
plus I remember getting ammo for cheap ! nothing like buying 900+ rounds of 308 for about $80 and heading out to the local gravel pit to see if anyone dumped any old cars over the weekend

Man! I wish I could pay those prices for some of those guns! $200 for a Thompson?! WOW!
On a side note, I was perusing an old Car and Driver the other day and saw and ad for the “Brand New, Totally Redesigned 1992 Dodge Grand Caravan” Kinda made me laugh!

Inheireted it from my dad who got it from a retired logger who used to keep it in his truck to shoot snakes.
Haven’t shot it in many years. I remember it having a pretty good kick to it though.
