The “82” marking on a Glock is the Austrian military designation for what we know of as the Glock 17.
No other model markings will appear.
Left side of the slide:
Glock 82 9mm Glock Austria
Right side will have a 5 digit number with two letters, a hyphen, and 3 numbers.
The one that appears on page 221 of Ezell’s “Small Arms of the World”, 12th Edition, is marked AA-000.
Amazing, you learn something every day. From a collection standpoint, would be nice to have one!

Hopefully Joe can get us pictures or a serial number prefix because I’d like to try and buy it
It would appear that perhaps some individuals might want to apologize to joe scuba for being so quick to bust his stones.

Thanks Templar for the information. The gentleman just dropped it of. It is a gift for a past favor.
Its in as new condition. And since it was a gift, I don,t plan on selling it.
Cheers, Joe

It should probably have the old “pebble” grip.
If you can post some pics, I’d really like to see.

Joe can you post any pictures of it? For educational purposes of course
Interesting. Can’t wait to see the pics.

It is a gen one glock. I have found out that the weapon as per serial number was manufactured in 1983. It was made during the same time frame as the first contract for the Austrian Government. It was purchased in Europe by a member of the U.S. Army and imported by that serviceman after ATF approval. I will post some pictures as soon as I can figure out the procedures.
