Getting the Noveske sighted in....

My step son and I took the Noveske Recce Middy to the range to get it sighted in today. Open iron sights, and cheap PMC 55 gr ammo, so of course its not perfect. However, I’m pretty happy with the results for peep sights at 50 yards.

This is after I finally got it pretty close, and the barrel was pretty toasty. I had covered the previous holes and then shot 2 full mags into this (60 rnds). I blew a 1" hole that constitutes the bulk of the 60 rounds. I can only count 30-35 other bullet holes, so I guess that means 25 or so went in the 1" missing part :smiley:

I’m sure others can do better, but I’m not a “peep sight shooter” and have never had experience with them prior to this AR. I’m curious what it will do with quality ammo and a 4X scope :cool: Probably much better than I can shoot.

I couldn’t be happier! Great day at the range. I have put 500 rounds through it, and it runs like a sewing machine.

Thanks! He is my shooting buddy when he is here. I knew he’d be stoked when he saw the new AR. We spent several hours at therange on Sat, and then he wanted to go again this morning. :slight_smile: We just got back from shooting the .22’s. He is almost 12 and he got a 5" Ruger 22/45 pistol for Christmas this year - his first gun of his own.

Our next venture together is reloading. He is really interested in making his own and then getting to shoot them.

Oh yeah… When we’re on the line, we get a lot of looks because he is more educated and safe than 99% of the adults :slight_smile:
