I assembled my build this weekend and the Mega Arms Wedgelock Handguard is touching the gas block at the bottom. Should I try and file it down or change it?
Thanks!

Assuming you didn’t use red Loctite when you installed the gas block, I would just change it. I believe the BCM low-pro gas block is a little smaller than the Geissele.
I’m curious to know how much it’s touching.
My barrels at the smith now for a cut & pin Geissele block with KMR rail, I asked him to test fit clearance before pin and was told passed and pinned.
I may be in the same situation and will post my results if I have to file

I couldn’t slide a strip of a business card between the gas block and rail. It’s firmly touching. No loctite so I guess I have to change it. Mega Arms said that the.750 is supposed to fit but every product is different. I should have tested it but the handguard is easy to remove.
I had the same problem with the Geissele block and an Erath3 handguard. There was a lot of contact. Had a CMMG low pro block and it worked perfectly. I like the Geissele block because it’s very stout and easily pinned to the barrel but it doesn’t play well with some skinny rails.
I’ve used a bunch of the Geissele gas blocks. It’s been close on some. But never touched. There is that ridge around the top that could be filed off easily.
On mine the top was fine. It was touching on the bottom and sides of the block where the drill guide / pin guide is located.
Gotcha. My sr-15 is almost that way. Can barely fit anything under that Gasblock
Was there enough meat on the block to file down if you needed?
Plenty of meat but I figured I’ll use it for something in the future, and just installed a different block instead.
Yeah mine is fine on the top too. I am going to email Primary Arms and Mega Arms to try and find out what fits. I would buy the BCM one but until I get the dimensions I don’t know if it’s going to fit.

I’ve had a lot of luck with the Troy blocks fitting just about everything.
Have you any clue how much barrels whip? You need more room than close!
Maybe it’s better to go with ones that don’t have double connections then?
Two set screws are okay but stay away from clamp style blocks. They will rub for sure.
Noveske, CMMG, YHM, Troy should all work fine. (Low pro two set screws on bottom of block)
There is a lot of meat on the Geissele that you can grind away on the bottom by the set screws. I had a KMR that was really close, but took some off the bottom. It was never an issue.
Not my first rodeo. I’m not talking tents of an inch
I see that the set screws are recessed but if I file it down it might screw up the threads. On this rail it would need quite a bit of filing. The two set screw lugs are tight against the handguard.
You should be.
Just curious what you’d do with a tent that small
