Geissele: Durability of SSA-E and S3G vs. standard SSA?

I’ve done searches here and on Google without finding much, and I realize I’m probably overthinking this but I’d like to know. I understand that Geissele’s original, standard model SSA trigger is very well proven as being durable over high round counts and in almost any use (based partly on military use of the SSF, I assume). I would like to know if the SSA-E and S3G models can be expected to have the same durability. I know the materials and quality should be there, but both of them have shorter and lighter pulls than the basic SSA and I was wondering if the reduced sear engagement will mean a shorter service life or possible safety issues as it wears. Anyone? Someone here has to have over 10k on one of those models - I hope.

I think you are over thinking it a bit, but we all have done that from time to time. I wouldn’t worry about it. However, I am betting there are some 3gun guys that have more than 10k through them. I am betting if you put less than 10k through it and it failed Geissele would take care of you.

Not seeing the flood of responses I expected here, I decided to simply email the same question to Geissele, and I received the following reply:

“The SSA-E and S3G triggers are made with the same material and process that we use for the SSA trigger. The reduced sear engagement will have no effect on the service life and safe use of the trigger. Thank you for your interest in our triggers.”

Works for me!

The lack of responses is probably a result of the fact that the G triggers have an extremely low failure rate. I’ve never seen a single complaint of one of their triggers losing its second stage, etc.
